Nassau County Apostille Services
Preparing a Nassau County document for use overseas? Contact Miami Dade Apostille for review and coordinated processing. We assist clients in Callahan, Fernandina Beach and Hilliard. Send required originals or certified copies to our team only after confirmed format and delivery instructions.
Start with the record and its destination
Contact Miami Dade Apostille with clear copies, the destination country and the receiving institution's instructions. A Nassau County marriage record, court judgment, birth certificate or FSCJ transcript may require different preparation. We review the format and coordinate the agreed authority process. Send required originals or certified copies to our team only after confirmed delivery instructions.
A multi-step process with our team
Obtaining the underlying record is one stage. Any required certification or notarization, apostille or further legalization, translation and return delivery are separate stages. An apostille authenticates an official signature or seal; it does not validate every statement or guarantee acceptance for every use. Our team helps coordinate the order while you confirm the overseas recipient's requirements.
Processing time and eligible same-day service
Standard state processing can take months. Miami Dade Apostille offers processing as soon as the same day for eligible documents. Contact us to confirm availability. Record issuance, corrections, document preparation, translation and shipping have their own schedules. Federal processing and additional legalization may take longer. Share the complete deadline with us before sending documents; eligible same-day processing does not mean every stage is completed on the same day.
Fernandina Beach vital-record office
The local birth and death certificate office is at the Fernandina Beach Main Office, 1620 Nectarine Street, Fernandina Beach, FL 32034. The certificate pages list 904-557-9135 for vital-record assistance. The building directory shows weekdays, 8 a.m.–5 p.m.; confirm the certificate counter's hours and cutoff before visiting. Clinical appointment schedules are separate from vital-record service, so ask specifically about the certificate you need.
Ask about certificate pickup before traveling
Ask staff whether your eligible record can be issued during the visit and whether same-day pickup is available. Current county guidance does not promise same-day issuance for every certificate. Record age, corrections, sealed entries, requester eligibility and counter availability can affect service. Picking up a local certificate does not complete the international-use process; Miami Dade Apostille coordinates the agreed apostille stage separately.
Florida birth certificates and older entries
Nassau's certificate overview lists Florida births from 1930 onward. Detailed guidance directs earlier and sealed records to the state Bureau of Vital Statistics. Confirm the year, requester eligibility and valid photo identification needed before ordering. A birth outside Florida must be obtained from its issuing jurisdiction. Contact our team with the recipient's requirements before requesting a replacement for overseas use.
Death certificates and restricted information
The local office lists Florida death certificates from 2009 onward, with earlier records handled through the state vital-record office or VitalChek. Cause-of-death information is restricted to eligible requesters. Confirm which version the receiving institution requires, and ask staff what identification and supporting documents are needed. We review copies before you send the required certified record to Miami Dade Apostille.
Order vital records online through VitalChek
VitalChek is the authorized third-party online ordering service identified by Florida's health department. It offers an alternative to visiting the local office for eligible vital records. Ordering and delivery fees are separate from apostille services, and a certificate order does not automatically include an apostille. Contact our team first to review the format and how delivery fits the complete schedule.
Order vital records online through VitalChek ↗Yulee: the Clerk's full-service location
The Nassau Clerk's full-service office is at 76347 Veterans Way, Yulee, FL 32097, phone 904-548-4600. The Clerk's current notice lists Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5 p.m. Confirm the correct record division, certification options and pickup arrangements before traveling. This courthouse location is separate from FSCJ's Nassau Center on William Burgess Boulevard.
Historic Courthouse: a limited Thursday schedule
The Historic Courthouse office is at 416 Centre Street, Fernandina Beach, FL 32034, phone 904-491-6430. The Clerk's May 28, 2026 reopening notice sets a Thursday-only schedule beginning June 4: 9 a.m.–4 p.m., closed for lunch from 11:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m. Confirm that schedule and the availability of your specific certified-record service before visiting. Do not assume this branch follows the full-service Yulee office's weekday hours.
Marriage records, deeds and recorded documents
The Clerk maintains recorded marriage records and instruments such as deeds, mortgages and judgments. A completed marriage license must be returned and recorded before the recorded certificate is available. For an additional certified copy, give staff the names, record date and any instrument reference. The Clerk's guidance identifies its Recording department for deed copies; ask which counter currently handles your record and certification request.
Older Nassau records and the historic collection
The Clerk provides separate court and Official Records searches and a historic-records collection covering 1840–1982. A record's age and type determine where staff may need to search. If an older entry is absent from a modern online search, ask the Clerk about the relevant collection and certified-copy arrangements. A historic image is not automatically a certified copy for international use.
Divorce judgments and other court documents
Contact the appropriate Clerk division for a certified final divorce judgment, family order, probate record or other case document. Provide the case number, party names and the specific document requested by the overseas institution. Public online access varies with record type, case status and confidentiality restrictions. Miami Dade Apostille reviews the recipient's instructions before coordinating the next stage.
Review the certified format before ordering
An ordinary download, screenshot or printout from a search portal is not automatically a custodian-certified record. Ask the Clerk which certified format is available, and send our team a copy or description for review before ordering or altering a file. Do not assume an electronic file and a paper printout are interchangeable or accepted for every authority process.
FSCJ Nassau Center and academic-record assistance
Florida State College at Jacksonville's Nassau Center is at 76346 William Burgess Boulevard, Yulee, FL 32097, phone 904-646-2300. This is a local college contact, not the Clerk's courthouse at 76347 Veterans Way. The center lists enrollment assistance Monday–Thursday, 8 a.m.–5:30 p.m., with Monday, Tuesday and Thursday by appointment and Wednesday walk-in availability. Confirm current assistance arrangements before visiting; this schedule does not promise on-demand transcript printing or pickup.
FSCJ official transcripts and preparation
FSCJ uses Parchment for official transcript requests, with electronic and printed delivery options. Student Records can be reached at [email protected] or 904-646-2300 for record questions. Unofficial Student Center records are separate from an official transcript. Contact Miami Dade Apostille with the overseas instructions before ordering so we can review any required certification or notarization. Confirm delivery or pickup options with the college rather than assuming immediate issuance at the Nassau Center.
Notarized documents and Remote Online Notarization
Contact us before signing a power of attorney, affidavit, sworn statement or other document that may require notarization or witnesses. Florida notarized documents need a complete English notarial certificate. Remote Online Notarization is available for eligible documents, subject to identity checks and recipient requirements. A notarized photocopy does not replace a public record certified by its proper custodian. We review preparation before you send required documents to our team.
State, business and federal documents follow different routes
State-issued business records and privately signed documents can require different preparation. A record issued outside Florida follows its issuing state's authority process, even when you live in Nassau County. FBI Identity History Summaries follow the federal route through the U.S. Department of State. Miami Dade Apostille coordinates the appropriate authority submission and any further legalization required for the destination.
