Kansas apostille services for international documents

Preparing a Kansas record for another country starts with identifying the document and the signature that needs authentication. Miami Dade Apostille can review the requirements and coordinate the appropriate process for vital records, court orders, school records, private documents and corporate documents. We are a private coordinator, not a government issuer or law firm.

Before you start

  1. Identify the document type and the office that issued it.
  2. Confirm the destination country's treaty relationship and the receiving authority's requirements.
  3. Send us a scan for preparation review before committing originals.

Choose the route for your destination

  • The Kansas Secretary of State authenticates Kansas public-official and notary signatures.
  • Apostilles serve destinations where the Hague Convention applies with the United States; other destinations may need authentication and further legalization.
  • Confirm the recipient's requirements before sending documents.

Order eligible Kansas vital records

  • The Kansas Office of Vital Statistics issues certified Kansas birth, death, marriage and divorce certificates to eligible applicants. These are restricted records.
  • A representative or someone asserting a direct interest may need supporting documentation and identification.
  • A public search or a personal photocopy does not replace an official certified record. Contact the issuing state for an out-of-state record.

Divorce certificate or divorce decree?

  • They are different documents. The state divorce certificate records basic facts; state filing began July 1, 1951.
  • The full decree sets out the court's settlement and is obtained as a certified copy from the District Court clerk in the county where the divorce was filed.
  • Ask the foreign recipient which document it requires before ordering.

Court, school and notarized documents

  • For court documents, the official's signature must be on file with the Secretary of State, and the printed name belongs on Form DC.
  • Kansas diplomas may require Kansas notarization; ask the school about preparation.
  • A foreign-language document can be eligible when its notarization is in English.

Prepare the current Form DC

  • Enclose the document, identify the destination, document count, requester and return address, and follow the payment instructions.
  • The June 17, 2026 revision lists a prepaid envelope or shipping label option and a billed FedEx option limited to a United States address.
  • Its general processing estimate is 3–5 business days after receipt, before shipping; confirm current conditions on the official page.

Coordinate the complete package

  • Send your document type, issuing office, destination and deadline for review. We can help identify preparation gaps, coordinate the appropriate state or federal process and discuss translation needs with qualified translators.
  • For powers of attorney or affidavits, confirm signing requirements before notarization. Corporate documents should be reviewed according to their issuing office and the requested certification.
  • Eligible private documents may use our Florida RON service subject to Florida identity, witness, document and recipient requirements. Florida notarization follows Florida authentication routing and does not replace the Kansas issuing office's certification of a public record.

Working toward a deadline? Send us a scan before committing originals — we can review requirements and help coordinate the correct process. If mailing, use a trackable shipping method and keep your tracking number.
