GOVERNMENT DOCUMENT APOSTILLE
Apostille for Government-Issued Documents
If you need to use a U.S. government-issued document abroad — such as a birth certificate, marriage certificate, passport copy, or naturalization certificate — you may be required to obtain an apostille. Miami Dade Apostille assists with document preparation, notarization where appropriate, apostille certification, and international shipping. in compliance with the Hague Apostille Convention.
Definition
What Is a Government-Issued Document Apostille?
An apostille is an official certificate issued by the relevant competent authority — the Secretary of State for state and local records, or the U.S. Department of State for eligible federal records — that authenticates the signature, capacity, and seal on a public document for use in countries that are members of the Hague Apostille Convention.
An apostille authenticates the document's official signature and seal. It does not certify the content, confirm regulatory compliance, validate intellectual property rights, or guarantee acceptance by any specific authority. This process replaces the need for embassy or consular legalization in Hague member countries. Without an apostille or legalization, many foreign authorities will not accept U.S. documents.

Our Process
How the Process Works
- 1Send or Upload Your Document
Email clear scans of your documents to [email protected], or bring them to our office. We review whether the document must be original, certified, or otherwise prepared before apostille.
- 2Notarization or Preparation, If Needed
We confirm whether an issuing-office certified copy or permitted notarization is needed. Vital records and court records generally require copies certified by their official custodian, not ordinary notarized photocopies. Notarization is used only where the relevant authority permits it. Do not notarize original federal records.
- 3Apostille Submission
We submit eligible documents to the appropriate issuing authority — the relevant Secretary of State for state and local records, or the U.S. Department of State for eligible federal documents.
- 4Delivery
Your apostilled document is returned via pickup, local courier, U.S. mail, or international shipping through FedEx, DHL, UPS, or USPS.
Business & Regulatory
Apostille for Business and Regulatory Documents
Beyond personal vital records, we also assist with apostille processing for regulatory certificates, intellectual property documents, and corporate records needed for international trade, business, and legal purposes. We also assist with corporate records and certified translations.
Export Certificates
Export certificate apostilles authenticate documents issued by U.S. agencies for customs clearance abroad. Some foreign customs authorities may require apostilled export certificates to confirm authenticity. Rush processing with worldwide shipping is available.
Foreign customs requirements vary by country and product type. An apostille authenticates the document's official signature and seal — it does not validate product regulatory compliance. Confirm destination requirements before ordering.
FDA Certificates
An FDA certificate apostille authenticates U.S. Food and Drug Administration documents for use abroad, including certificates of pharmaceutical product, food facility registration, and medical device export. Apostilles apply directly to certified FDA-issued documents — notarization is not required before apostille for these official agency certificates.
Eligibility depends on the actual certificate format and issuing authority. Official FDA-issued certificates with an agency signature and seal may be eligible. Ordinary copies or private-vendor certificates are not eligible. Confirm the document format with us before ordering. An apostille authenticates the official signature — it does not grant product registration or confirm regulatory compliance in the destination country.
USDA Certificates
USDA certificate apostilles authenticate agricultural and food safety certificates issued by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, including phytosanitary certificates, animal health certificates, and export compliance certificates. Many countries require these to confirm that imported agricultural products meet U.S. safety standards.
Eligibility depends on the actual certificate format and issuing authority. Official USDA-issued certificates with an agency signature and seal may be eligible. Ordinary copies are not eligible. An apostille authenticates the official signature — it does not validate product safety compliance in the destination country.
Patents and Trademarks
USPTO-issued patent and trademark certificates can be apostilled for recognition abroad, without prior notarization. This is typically needed to register intellectual property in foreign jurisdictions.
An apostille authenticates the official USPTO signature and seal on the certificate. It does not grant patent or trademark rights in the destination country, and does not substitute for foreign IP registration procedures.
Corporate and Business Records
We process articles of incorporation, certificates of good standing, bylaws, and business licenses, including bulk orders for companies with international operations. Foreign governments require authenticated corporate documents for setting up subsidiaries, opening bank accounts, or entering contracts abroad.
